Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Miss Cecilia rolled over 2 times yesterday. I would not have believed it either, but I actually saw her do it. She is getting to be such a big girl but I am certainly not ready for anyone to be mobile just yet. At the doctor today she weighed 8lbs 1oz. The boys were not there but Christian I am sure weighs a little more than her and Cohen is probably over 9lbs by now. Time is flying and they will be 9 weeks old this weekend. Each day we are getting more and more smiles which is really fun!!!

Fun with our little friends

So who says you can not have a little fun with the babies??

In this photo I am not sure if you can tell, but they are all screaming. Mark decided to video them, Caleb watched and I sat on the other side of the bed while I pumped their dinner (which is what they were crying about) and took pictures. No, we're not mean :)Christian was in the middle of Caleb's target practice

The other ladies of the house

For those of you who knew Pete's parents, these were babies of Sue's cat. I think they are 3 times the size of their mom and everyone says they are fat but i swear they have been on diet food since they were born. They will be 7 this July so everyone should just let them be fat and merry :) I normally don't see this too often, but they were posing as if to say take a picture of us PLEASE!! We need some attention too!!

I will be back...someone is crying as it is almost feeding time...............

Caleb

So everyone asks how Caleb is doing all of the time and he is doing well. I think we are all still adjusting to the babies schedule. Being that there are of them it is not as easy to pick up and move around the house or to go outside. I think I have mother guilt though too since he does get pushed aside these days when the babies need to be fed or tended to so it does make for hectic weekends and evenings. He loves the babies and always wants to hold them and give them kisses. It is really funny because he mimics a lot of what we say to the babies. Mark always tells them how cute they are so he gets in their face is a sweet little voice and says aww..you're so cute. He also shushes them when they cry which what we do as well. He hasn't asked when they are going to go away yet so I guess that is a good sign. Here are some pics.

Mothers Day

So I think I left off on mother's day and I hope all of the mothers checking this had a great day. I was so exhausted since Mark was gone all day Saturday and most of Sunday with Cecilia, but it was still really nice. She did go to the hospital in style though wearing her new flower from Aunt Trisha. We tried to take a picture of her and Aliyah, but as you can see they were not in the mood to be photographed together.

Happy Birthday Grandma Gardner/Mom - Yesterday

Yesterday was Grandma Gardner/Mom's birthday. I hope she had a great one even though she had to work. No one likes to work on their birthday :)

whew!!

Time sure flies when you are having fun :) Well the last week or two have been a little hectic. I'm sure some of you may have noticed the red thing on Cecilia's face in the most recent pics I posted and that is what is called a hemangioma. You can google it if you want to know more about it, but basically it was a little dull pink spot when we brought her home from the hospital and it started rapidly growing. If it was anywhere else on her body they would not have been concerned, but where it was located on her face, it was starting to push on her eye and nose which would eventually caused problems. We met with the dermatologist and she suggested either sterioids or another treatment with propranolol. The propranolol required close supervision in the beginning of her blood pressure and blood sugar while they increased her dose to what she would need to continue at home. We opted to go with the propranolol and had to admit her to the hospital for 2 days. So I once again became a resident of a fine hospital establishment. She was admitted last Thursday and did not get to come home until Sunday around 1pm. Needless to say with 4 kids this was a logistical nightmare with less than a days notice, but we worked it thanks to the help of our wonderful families. She continues to take her dose twice daily and the spot is shrinking but they will continue to monitor it. We don't know how long she will have to take it, but it will most likely be awhile to ensure that it does not start growing again.

Other than that things are good. The hippos are hungry a lot and have figured out that they really like to be held. We are also starting to see smiles so that is really exciting. I have some great photos that a friend took and I will post them soon, but I don't want to spoil the birth announcement that I am making so you will all have to stay tuned :)

happy Anniversary to us!!

May 3rd was our 6th wedding anniversary and ironically my due date for the triplets. We still think it is funny that on our 6th anniversary our family was to grow to 6. Of course we knew we would never deliver on that day, but we will certainly never forget their real due date. It is hard to believe that 6 years has gone by, but they have been the best of my life. I still love my honey more than ever.

Even with all of the chaos at our house we were blessed to have sitters for Saturday night so Mark and I could go out to dinner. Julie and Brandon, (parents to be) braved the triplets and Caleb spent the night at Aunt Trisha and Uncle Johns house. Julie and Brandon survived and still want to have their own child :) Dinner was awesome, but the babies were up all night long. It was the worst night that we have had with them and fortunately whatever was bothering their tummies that night has gone away. Mark says I poisoned them with White Castle from the night before and maybe that is true. I guess I will be more careful with my food intake :)

Aren't we cute!!!
Ahh...the memories
